Pink shagreen monocular with original case.
The mounts are in black stained ivory, the tube is covered with pink! shagreen. The monocular is focussing well. The single draw is gilded and has very little wear.
The original pink! shagreen case has a turned top, two collars at the opening and a base. It opens on a single push button and is lined with dark pink velvet.
There is a paper label inside the case for John Johnson of which several are listed in Clifton. The most likely being one of this name working in 1777 at 3 Bridges Lane Court, London.
A rare piece with unusual color and original case. In very good condition. The perfect gift for a lady. Or collector.
