A charming polariscope to demonstrate the Malus effect (Étienne Louis Malus 1775 – 1812) and off course to prove Brewster’s Law (David Brewster 1781 – 1868).
Made out of brass, partly lacquered. Placed on a mahogany base with drawer, bone feet. Four (half) graduated circles to read the degree of polarization.
