An interesting Dutch compass signed on the compass card:

The compass is surmounted by a brass pivot with agate and is marked with eight points marked N.O., Oost, S.O., Suyden, S.W., West, N.W. and a French lily for North. The circular wooden case with screw-on lid.
Jan Marten Kleman (1758 – 1845) was an Amsterdam instrumentmaker who worked from 1781 from his workshop in the Bergstraat.
In good condition.
13 cm in diameter, 4 cm high.
