French boucherie trade sign

A fantastic antique trade sign from a French boucherie, depicting a bull’s head on a heraldic shield.

It is made of zinc and polychrome painted. The sign is fully authentic and made in France around 1870.

A bull’s head on the butcher shop wall was a familiar sight in France. This one has lots of character, realistic features, impressive horns and a noble gaze.

An authentic antique sign like this is extremely rare and hard to get by. Would be a great feature in a classic kitchen or a fine restaurant.

In good condition for its age. Has minimal paint loss , some sqratches on the back were the hole is to hang the head. Overall in very good condition.

Dimensions are 24 cm high, 20 cm wide and 20 cm deep.
