Cased Post Mortem set by Weiss & Son London.
The set contains a large steel hammer, a saw, ebony handled scalpels, scissors and other implements. Instruments used to carry out a post-mortem. Housed in a brass banded mahogany case.
Case 31 cm wide, 13 cm deep and 6,5 cm high.
Sets like these were used to determine whether the physician’s diagnosis when the patient was alive had been correct.
